Chevrolet Welcomes Big Bike Enthusiasts to Experience ‘Best Mates’ Trailblazer, Colorado

BANGKOK, THAILAND – “Get your motor running, head out on the highway, looking for adventure, and whatever comes our way…” Like that classic American rock song goes, about 1,900 motorcyclists set out from 8080 Café in Bangkok for a caravan ride to Lake Como, Silver Lake, Pattaya, to attend “8080 Café Run & Sun”.  Chevrolet Sales Thailand, one of the sponsors, provided a Trailblazer  Premium SUV and Colorado High Country pickup truck to purvey bikes to the event where sales consultants welcomed attendees to test drive the vehicles.

“Trailblazer and Colorado are best mates for big bike enthusiasts. The rugged American SUV and iconic pickup truck may be the safest and most dependable way to haul big bikes. Plus, Chevrolets look great in tandem with big bikes, and really make a powerful statement,” said Una Tan, director of Chevrolet Sales Thailand Marketing and Customer Experience.

With several companies manufacturing and selling high-capacity cylinder motorcycles in Thailand and disposable income up among consumers, the big bike lifestyle is growing in popularity, with communal groups of riders taking advantage of scenic roads throughout the country. Moreover, many big bike enthusiasts find it advantageous to have a pickup truck to haul their bike to distant locations, because it may help reduce wear and tear on the bike and mitigate rider fatigue.

Tan added: “Bikers who want to protect their investment on long-haul road trips can rely on Trailblazer to haul big bikes on a rack attached to the vehicle or Colorado to carry their two-wheeler to wherever they want to ride, and the truck is a great daily driver as well, with excellent safety, reliability, technology and interior comfort.”

Powering Trailblazer and Colorado is Chevrolet’s2.5L Duramax four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, capable of producing 132 kW (180 PS) of horsepower at 3,600 rpm and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft) of torque at a low 2,000 rpm. The Euro 4-compliant engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with a choice of two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The new suspension tuning and tough chassis enables Trailblazer and Colorado to haul more than ever before – making it more than capable of hauling a secured big bike, using appropriate vehicle accessories.

Chevrolet’s pickup truck and SUV prowess is legendary, with the brand recently celebrating 100 years as one of the dominant forces in the segment, repeatedly setting benchmarks for strength, performance, efficiency, safety and dependability. In addition to Trailblazer and High Country, Chevrolet also builds and sells a full range of variants in Thailand, including the Colorado Centennial Edition and Colorado High Country STORM, Z71, LTZ  and LT
