Trailblazer Club Plants Mangrove Forest in Phetchaburi
BANGKOK, THAILAND – Thailand Trailblazer Club recently held its annual club meeting at Bueng Preeda Resort in Phetchaburi province. More than 100 club members, driving 50 Trailblazers from all over the country took part in event activities including sports, entertainment, and a mangrove forest planting.
Mangrove replanting projects serve multiple purposes. Mangroves are an important ecosystem on Thailand’s coastal areas, providing environmental and socio-economic benefits. They help prevent coastal erosion and habitat degradation, support a healthy ecosystem for wildlife, and provide sustainable resources and livelihoods for the coastal populace.
“When the Thailand Trailblazer Club gets together for our annual meeting we like to do something good for the community, and in this case, it’s good for the environment too,” said Dr. Phuchit Phuripanik, one of the club leaders.
Earlier this year, a 30-vehicle convoy of Trailblazer Club members visited the Baan Pong Luek School in Phetchaburi, delivering donations of stationeries, food, and One World Futbols from Chevrolet Sales Thailand.
General Motors Thailand builds Chevrolet Trailblazers at its manufacturing facility in Rayong. Chevrolet Sales Thailand sells the PPV at its dealership network nationwide.
