Chevrolet Launches Exclusive Limited-Edition Captiva

  • Special Captiva launched to cater to customers who want 'more Captiva'
  • Distinctive paint, clear tail lamps and 19-inch alloy wheels distinguish the limited-edition variant
  • Interior features new seven-inch touch-screen display with satellite navigation system
  • Exclusive - only 600 limited-edition Captivas will be produced

Bangkok, THAILAND - Chevrolet Sales Thailand (Chevrolet) has launched a special, limited-edition Captiva aimed at buyers who want the progressive sports utility vehicle (SUV) to be more exclusive. Based on a diesel-engine variant, only 600 units will be built, making this a very exclusive variant. Special styling cues including a special Metallic White body paint, clear tail lamps and 19-inch alloy wheels distinguish the limited-edition Captiva from 'normal' variants. The clear tail lamps are exclusive to the limited-edition Captiva and not available on the higher LTZ version.

The Limited-Edition Captiva's interior features a new seven-inch, touch-screen display on the center console that comes equipped with a satellite navigation system. Various other functions like the climate control and trip computer can also be controlled via the touch-screen.

The Limited-Edition Captiva is based on a diesel-powered variant, featuring a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine with DOHC (Double Overhead Camshafts), 16 valves and a high-pressure common-rail fuel delivery system. The engine is capable of 120 kW (163 hp) of power and 360 Nm of torque, providing the Limited-Edition Captiva with plenty of performance. More importantly, torque is delivered from as low as 1,750 rpm and peaks at 2,750 rpm, making the diesel Captiva a truly tractable and effortless vehicle in the city and the highway. The low engine revolution also contributes to a quieter drive and lower fuel consumption. Power is delivered to the wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control (DSC).

The Limited-Edition Captiva is available in dealerships nationwide and is priced at THB 1,480,000.
