“Recognition is highly deserved by these ‘silent heroes’ of the global automotive industry,” Apfel said. “The companies that took home the Quality Supplier Excellence Awards have proven by their performance that they are among the best automotive suppliers in the world.”

GM intends to make the Quality Excellence Awards ceremony an annual event in Southeast Asia among other initiatives to strengthen ties and deepen its collaboration with suppliers in the region.

“Our supplier’s devotion to outstanding quality plays an essential role in GM's efforts to provide the best overall customer experience in the automotive industry,” Apfel said. “The Quality Excellence Awards is our way of showing our deep appreciation for the outstanding performance of these key suppliers.”
